Kapital: Behind our new name and look

Kapital.inc (formerly HackCapital), the Swiss fintech and financial service provider for private market transactions has announced the opening of its new offices in Luxembourg, and a new name and brand as it expands its private market solutions across Europe.

Founded in 2022, Kapital provides companies, capital allocators, and financial intermediaries with a suite of digitized tools to simplify the costs and time behind structuring global transactions. Over the last year, the company has worked with a growing number of asset managers and private companies across both Europe and the US with their asset structuring needs.

Today Kapital's solutions range from simple SPV’s (Special Purpose Vehicles) used to raise funding from multiple investors into a range of asset types - like structuring green bonds or purchasing private company stock - to clearable investments led that are exchangeable on major trading houses - like Euroclear, Clearstream and SIX. 

Why we chose the name, Kapital

Kapital's new name and look comes at a time when we've seen a significant growth in AUS (Assets Under Service) in the last quarter, and increasingly start working with more traditional Asset Management firms and Institutional investors.

• The new name pays homage to our roots by carrying the K from Hack.
• It's descriptive, memorable, and clearly highlights the industry we're in.
• Its direct translation means "Capital" in German, Sweden, Denmark and other areas in Europe.

Whats evolved with Kapital

The new branding and Luxembourg offices come as Kapital  looks to further grow our tech, administrative and sales team in Luxembourg and expand our operations across Europe. This announcement also comes with a new leadership appointment as Vincent Oswald, a seasoned entrepreneur and board member on numerous European funds, is joining as Senior Advisor, and partner Camille Bossel is appointed as Executive Director of the Kaptial’s Luxembourg offices.
